What It's Like Raising a Child with a Speech Delay....

Image
I debated on writing about this because I don't like talking about it. Not because i'm ashamed (because that's what people assume when you don't talk about it.) But, because it makes me feel like I'm doing something wrong. Despite feeling that way, i decided to discuss it anyway. I figure if I'm feeling this way, I'm sure there's a million other mothers feeling the same way and if i can give someone a tad bit of comfort and not feel alone in the struggle (yes, its a struggle) of raising a child with a speech delay, then I'm glad i can help. the first struggle is; People are MEAN: Literally. In a world where social media is so readily available it's both awesome and not so much awesome. It's great that we can just get on the internet and talk to people who we hope to relate to whether that's "support groups" or just a group of moms who claim to relate. It's great to have the option of having a group of people to talk to ...

Spooky Saturday #2: The Villisca Ax Murder House

Image
As I was doing research this week on spooky topics, I came to the realization that, you can't have a spooky story without said "spooky" location having a rather….sinister history. I mean, how can you get ghosts and creepy stories without something happening that would potentially traumatize you or keep you awake at night? With that being said, if creepy stories, murder, and ghosts aren't your thing I'd click out of here, also there is possible "trigger" topics mentioned in this as well…..you still here? Great. Guess that means you don't mind blood and gore. Haha So, for this weeks "Spooky Saturday" I WAS going to do a more true crime story, but I really want to stick to the creepy stories for now….it is October after all, so this week I picked the "Villisca Ax Murder House." Sound like your cup of tea? If so, I hope you enjoy this weeks story! So, the Villisca Ax Murder House is located in…you guessed it…Villisca, Iowa and ...

Tea Tree Oil: The Savior for all things "skin?"

Image
Up until recently, I have had no issues outside of the normal "my weeks been off" problems. Skins been good, hairs been good, life’s been good right? WELL, rewind up until a few months ago when it seemed like everything started going out of whack. My hair started falling out at a rapid pace, my skin started breaking out, and I developed eczema on my hands? (Seriously, what in the WORLD?) I'm not the world’s healthiest person but I take multivitamins for wellness, skincare, hair and my body and yet it seemed like my "outside" was failing me no apparent reason. I eat right, exercise, and drink my weight in water daily, yet here I was....a broke out, eczema ridden, balding mom of two (I know....dramatic, but I am who I am haha). Now, I’m not AGAINST doctors, I just prefer not to use them unless it comes to my kids. They aren’t old enough for me to feel comfortable to try out all the more natural methods on them before I just get meds. In other words, I’m not go...

Spooky Saturday #1: The Salem Witch Trials

Image
This is what I’ve been thinking….I’m sort of, kind of, a super large true crime/paranormal junkie. (what do you know, another fact about me, maybe I should add it to my first post lol) I’ve been trying for months to find my “niche” when it comes to writing blogs and then it occurred to me, I should write one blog a week on the one thing I love…the spooky, creepy, and murderousness of this world. So, In honor of this week and Salem, Mass (where I am currently) I decided the first week would be on none other than….The Salem Witch Trials. So, welcome to the first week of Spooky Saturday and I hope you enjoy reading this as much as I loved writing it! So, the infamous Salem Witch Trials were from June 1692-May 1693 and they claimed nineteen victims, and imprisoned one hundred and eighty-one more. They took place in Massachusetts Bay Colony, which is now Danvers, Massachusetts, after a group of young girls claimed to be possessed by the devil and accused SEVERAL local women of witchcraf...

Hey Everyone!!

Okay, sooooo.....I just wanted to start out my first blog post on this site with a few things about me. Some people who come onto this site may know me, but MOST  will not so, a few things about me.... 1.) This is not my first blog. If you've came over here from the other site, bless your heart and I love you so much. (my last site just erased my blog because its a winner obviously) 2.) I am married, and I've "put up" with his butt for ten years  now lol. We met when we were just teenagers and it was just meant to be what else can i say? 3.) I have two spunky, crazy, sassy little girls who are 5 and 2. They keep me on my toes and will probably give me a full head of gray hair by 35. 4.) I'm a stay at home momma. I've been blessed that my husband is able to supply for two incomes and I am able to raise my babies and know that they are safe. 5.) I am from a small town in Indiana (and no there quite literally is nothing here other than corn and bipola...
